6 Red Pine Trees
6" to 8" tall
This species is very uniform in its growth habits and usually does well
in plantations, where it is often preferred to Eastern White Pine
because of its freedom from blister rust and weevil damage. It will
grow in very poor soils and gravely or sandy spots.
Red Pine may reach heights of 75 to 125 feet and diameters up to 3 feet.
The needles are in two`s, 4 to 6 1/2 inches long, straight, flexible,
and somewhat sharp.
The cones are egg-shaped, 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 inches long and almost without
stalks. They stay on the tree until the following year.
They are shipped without soil and roots are wrapped in moist towel.
These Red Pine Trees are on average six to eight inches tall at time of
shipping (as in the picture) and have a good root system.
All items are shipped express.
