Shou Sugi ban is originally Japanese traditional heat treated wood, it is not originally an expensive, high-design product as it has been marketed in the West—it is a standard building material used in Japan for centuries. Very useful for making beautiful interiors and exteriors and resistant to fire, water and pests. Shou sugi ban gives exclusive elegant look to your place. This would is long lasting and need little care.
Nakamoto forestry is trading with Shou SUgi ban or Yakisugita from generations and leading manufacturer of it. They have several thousand acres of managed forest and based in Hiroshima. We provide three kind of woods Suyaki, Gendai and Pika Pika.
Suyaki is most traditional and easily recognizable and often called " alligator" too. Suyaki has a stunning effervescent shimmer and traditionally is installed without a finish, allowing natural aging.
Gendai is a single pass through the brush machine knocks down the heavy charring and leaves a smooth, silky look.
Pika Pika is a three-dimensional textured surface similar to abrasive-blasted wood or wire-brushed wood.
