This is a 1930/40's era Spalding J5-V pigskin leather football ~ in very good condition . It has it's original bladder that still holds decent pressure !. The ball has the trademark Spalding stitching around still tight lacing , and below that the circular Spalding Logo with the Official InterCollegiate stamping inside . Below that the J5-V stamp that typifies the period of manufacture . To the right below the Logo are imprinted the words ' Lock Stitched ' ~ which may help in researching a more exact time period for this ball . The leather all around is in excellent shape for it's 90 or so years of life , and the panels above and below the laced panel appear to have faint professionally done imprints of the Winning team of that day ~ or the College , Quarterback , or Coach name inscribed on it .? Difficult to tell without expert scrutiny . Balls in this kind of condition are not easy to find , and when discovered fetch very high values on various Football memorabilia Auction sites , This one is selling for the reasonable price of $175.00 .
