This is a rare boxed copy of the incredible project that Edward Burtynsky undertook when he photographed the making of the Three Gorges Dam in China in 2002. This boxed set contains a mint copy #63/100 of the book published by the BURTYNSKY STUDIO itself and also there is an 11” X 14” Giclée print signed by Burtynsky. Only 100 of these box sets were published and this one is #62. This is a rare opportunity to own part of Burtynsky’s legacy. One of these books sold at auction on May 23, 2023 for C$780.00 at Cowley Abbott Auctions in Toronto. See the included pictures here. Internationally acclaimed Canadian photographer, Edward Burtynsky, presents the world with startling large-scale photographs of the impact humankind has on our planet. Both beautiful and terrible at the same time, Burtynsky’s images have the switch inherent in optical illusions. In his case, we must be careful how we enjoy the beauty in his pictures; what we’re actually seeing, isn’t beautiful.
